Originated as a blog for my computer science class, but has been transformed into a place where I can share my thoughts. Not everyone will agree/approve/like what I have to say, and I understand that, but just respect my views. Thanks and much love, Hannah Michaelsen

Excel
Before this class, I had only been briefly introduced to Excel. I was familiar with some of the basic formulas. For example I knew how to add, multiple, and subtract data, but for the most part I did not know too much. When I started taking Statistics for Business and Economics during my first semester here at Trinity I had to reacquaint myself with Excel. So, by the time we reached Excel in this class I had gotten some of my skills back. Some of the things I did not know prior to this section were percents and formatting. I liked learning how to make the cells look pretty instead of being plain white. As I said before, these skills will come in handy during my Statistics class where I have to do something with Excel in each assignment. I do not really know when I will use Excel in my real life. I would consider using it to make a schedule or calculate my grades, just as a backup. I like that Excel makes things easier. For instance, I enjoy not having to retype a formula over and over again. I do find Excel boring at times, but I did learn a lot of new things about Excel.
