Power Point Presentation

I did my power point presentation on the Stanford Prison Experiment. The experiment took place in 1971, in the basement of the Stanford Psychology Department building. Philip Zimbardo, the conductor of the experiment, took a group of male volunteers and divided them randomly into guards and prisoners. Within five days, Zimbardo discovered that the young men had become the roles they were placed in. The experiment was done to see if people assume the roles that they are told to play in society. Prior to this presentation, I  had learned a little bit about the experiment in my social psychology class. However, I really enjoyed reading more about it. During my presentation I would have focused more on the experiment itself as opposed to the setup.

One of my favorite presentations was Luke's presentation on biological warfare. I thought that the presentation flowed very well and it kept me interested, which says a lot because I am not a science person. I found it interesting and really scary that biological warfare will probably be the next generation of war. Luke appeared confident and familiar with the material. Jena's power point was my other favorite. Although everyone has heard about the "thin ideal" it is just really interesting to hear some of the real research. I thought she did a good job presenting and had a really interesting topic.
